Repairs

What should I do if my Seiko, Pulsar or Lorus watch/clock needs repair?

The service and repair division of Seiko UK Ltd is at the head office in Maidenhead. You should send your watch/clock to: SUKL, Vanwall Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4UW. Please fully describe the problem or symptoms you are having with your watch or clock. Include your guarantee or proof of purchase if the watch/clock is still within the guarantee period. Make sure your name and address are shown on both the outside of the package as a return address, and on the correspondence inside. Keep a record of the case number (hyphenated) and the serial number from the back of your watch for reference. Always insure the packaging to protect yourself in case of a loss in transit and to make tracing possible if necessary. Package the timepiece well to protect it in transit. Please note you can also have an authorised dealer process the repair for you.

Will I get an estimate before my watch/clock is repaired?

If your watch/clock is out of guarantee and the repair is therefore chargeable, you will receive a written estimate outlining all repair costs. If you wish to go ahead, you will need to return the estimate or call the service centre on 01628 770988. If you give instructions in your letter that no estimate is required, regardless of cost, no estimate will be given and the repair will be forwarded to the workshop for the work involved.

Where can I have my watch strap adjusted?

We recommend our customers to contact a Seiko authorised dealer to have their watch straps adjusted. If you cannot be present when the adjustment is made, please be sure to tell them your exact wrist circumference when you request the adjustment.

Where can I have my watch battery replaced?

To avoid damage caused by battery leakage, it is important to replace the battery as soon as possible. We recommend that you contact an authorised Seiko dealer and request that they use only genuine Seiko batteries.

Where can I obtain watch parts?

We only supply spare parts to authorised Seiko dealers and we do not normally supply spare parts directly to individuals anywhere in the world. We recommend that you contact an authorised Seiko dealer to have the watch part(s) replaced.

Does my watch need to be adjusted for accuracy?

Watch accuracy depends on the movement used in the watch. Please refer to the information in your instruction booklet. If the accuracy of your watch is outside the standard range, we recommend you contact a authorised Seiko dealer to have the accuracy adjusted.
